Spain: Vopak's Algeciras Fuel Terminal Expansion Awaits Budget Approval

The terminal began operations in the second quarter of 2013 at Algeciras Bay in Spain, with 22 tanks and a storage capacity of 403,000 cubic meters for fuel, gasoil and gasoline. The terminal has a pier with two berths.

Vopak Algeciras has been planning since 2012 to expand the storage capacity in two phases. The first phase includes 14 new tanks, with capacities ranging from 20,000 cubic meters to 40,000 cubic meters, for a total of 483,000 cubic meters. The selected company will be in charge of the detailed engineering, followed by construction. IDOM will continue supervising the project until its completion.
