TC Energy Shuts Keystone Pipeline After Oil Spill - TC Energy Corporation (NYSE:TRP) (Calgary, Alberta) on Thursday said it shut the 622,000 barrel-per-day Keystone pipeline and was responding to an oil release into a creek about 20 miles south of Steele City, Nebraska. "The system remains shut down as our crews actively respond and work to contain and recover the oil," a company release said. TC Energy was not immediately available to comment on the volume of the spill. (Reuters)

ExxonMobil to Raise Capital Spending in 2023 - Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (Irving, Texas) on Thursday said it will lift capital spending next year by about 10%, to between $23 billion and $25 billion, and boost share buybacks. Exxon's spending budget extends a plan set a year ago to allocate $22 billion on projects this year. It also set aside $17 billion for lower-carbon projects through 2027, up from $15 billion. (Reuters)
NATURAL GAS
U.S. Sees Smaller Natural Gas Storage Draw - The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said U.S. utilities pulled 21 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas from storage during the week ending December 2. That compares with a decrease of 59 Bcf in the same week last year and a five-year (2017-2021) average decline of 49 Bcf. (Reuters)
