The five plants starting up in April represent an estimated $70 million in total investment value (TIV). Also planning to come online in April, is a grassroot commercial printing plant in Santa Teresa, New Mexico with an estimated TIV of $20 million and a 9-megawatt wind farm by Exergy Development Group, LLC (Helena, Montana) in Boise, Idaho.

With an estimated 60 new plants scheduled to come online this year within the region, 2006 will exceed the historical regional average by 39.5% for new plant startups. The most significant new plant startup activity for 2006 will occur in the fourth quarter of the year with over 25 new plants scheduled to come online.
