Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Zijin Mining Group (Longyan, China) and Zangge Holdings (Golmud, China) plan to develop the Larguoco and Mamico lithium salt lake projects in Ali Prefecture, Tibet. The projects will construct brine pumping stations, brine transport pipelines and lithium extraction facilities.
If the projects proceed as planned, the Larguoco project will produce 20,000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide annually, and the Mamico project will produce 50,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate annually. At present, both projects are still in the approval stage and have not received mining licenses yet.
