Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) was forced to shut down the 80,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) at its 625,000-BBL/d Amuay, Venezuela, refinery, after being restarted on December 13. The restart is set to occur by December 22.

Crossbridge Energy Fredericia, on December 17, was forced to shut down its 75,000-BBL/d Fredericia Refinery in Denmark, due to a fire caused by an oil leak. The fire was extinguished quickly, and the refinery restart is expected within the next few days.
