PRODUCTION
Russia's March Oil Output Down
- Russian output of oil and gas condensate fell to 11.01 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in March from 11.06 million BBL/d in February, according to Reuters calculations based on an Interfax (London, England) report. A Russian analytical unit affiliated with the Energy Ministry did not publish monthly oil and gas output data on April 2, according to two clients, the first delay in years amid reports of a production decline. (Reuters)

NATURAL GAS
U.S. Gas Holds Near Nine-Week High
- U.S. natural gas futures held near a nine-week high on Monday as forecasts for milder weather over the next two weeks offset early expectations for more demand during that time. Front-month gas futures fell 0.8 cents, or 0.1%, to settle at $5.712 per million British thermal units. On Friday, the contract closed at its highest since January 27 for a third day in a row. (Reuters)

Venture Global to Buy Gas for Louisiana LNG Plant from NextEra
- U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) company Venture Global LNG (Arlington, Virginia) has agreed to buy natural gas for its Plaquemines LNG export plant in Louisiana, expected to start up in 2024, from a unit of U.S. energy company NextEra Energy Incorporated (NYSE:NEE) (Juno Beach, Florida).
