India's Hindustan Copper to Boost Production, Reopen Mines, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Indian copper-ore major Hindustan Copper plans to boost its ore production five-fold by expanding its existing facilities and reopening shuttered mines. Hindustan Copper aims to increase its overall production to 20 million tons per annum by 2025.

The company plans to reopen its Rakha mine, which it estimates has a capacity of 2.5 million tons per annum. Hindustan Copper also is planning to reopen its Chapra-Sidheshwar mine at full scale. The company's underground Malajkhand Mine will expand its capacity from 2 million to 8 million tons per annum.
