Latin America's automotive industry plans to kick off more than $2 billion in projects in fourth-quarter 2019, according to Industrial Info's project database. Brazil leads in spending, with more than $1 billion in projects, while Mexico leads in project numbers (26), totaling $578 million. Motor vehicles, passenger cars and bodies (assembly) plus parts and accessories are the sectors that generate more investments, followed by tiers and batteries.
