Deer Park Refining LP restarted the 270,000-BBL/d Crude Distilling DU-2 and three other units today, November 19, as part of the Big Block Turnaround that began on October 1 at its 340,000-BBL/d Deer Park Refinery located in Deer Park, Texas.
Valero Refining Company has completed 3-week maintenance (pit stop) for the 92,000-BBL/d FCCU (Fluid Catalytic Cracker) unit, at its 230,000-BBL/d Saint Charles, Louisiana, refinery. The event was accelerated and began in early October instead of late October, as previously scheduled.
Phillips 66 restarted the 20,000-BBL/d Reformer 100 unit on November 17 at its 133,000-BBL/d Wilmington, Los Angeles, refinery, which had been shut for planned maintenance since November 8.
International
Sonatrach successfully restarted its 90,000-BBL/d Arzew Refinery in Algeria on November 8. However, since November 9, the refinery has operated at 80% due to additional repairs needed. The units are expected to resume to full operations by November 23.
Petronor SA has kicked off a minor maintenance turnaround for its 46,000-BBL/d FCCU and 4,000-BBL/d Alkylation units at its 220,000-BBL/d Bilbao, Spain, refinery. The Alkylation unit went offline on November 17 and the FCCU on November 15. The units are scheduled to remain offline until around November 25.
Alma Petroli S p A still is on schedule to perform a plant-wide maintenance turnaround at its 10,900-BBL/d Alma Refinery in Italy. Maintenance works are scheduled to begin in the first half of January 2020 and are expected to take 30 days.
