Oceania is upping investment in its transportation systems, including inland and deepwater ports, airports, light rail, commuter rail and freight rail, as well as maintenance facilities, intermodal terminals, interconnects, rail bridges, substations, micro grids and railyards associated with mass-transit systems.

Industrial Info is tracking nearly 370 active projects in Oceania's transportation-system sector, worth about $80 billion. These include grassroot projects (port terminals, railways), upgrades, expansions and modernizations. Victoria leads in the project spending, while Queensland leads in number of projects.
