U.S. exporters are seeing a rash of cancellations for purchased liquefied natural gas (LNG) destined for export, according to Reuters. Cheniere seems to be the hardest hit, with a majority of the cargo originating from Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi sites. Freeport LNG is said to have been hit with cancellations as well.
Companies in Europe and Asia are experiencing a demand decrease due to COVID-19 and have opted not to receive the LNG. It is estimated that approximately 20 LNG cargo deliveries have been cancelled for May and June. Industrial Info's plant database includes six active U.S. LNG facilities. Click here for a list.
