A massive fire at the Poly-America plastics facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, is likely to burn for several days. The blaze could disrupt electrical service in the area after an overhanging power line fell onto plastic sheeting in a plant storage area in the early hours of Wednesday. According to local officials, none of the plant's buildings were directly impacted by the fire, although some workers were sent home from the building directly behind the fire. The facility remains operational for the time being. Officials were urging local residents to stay indoors because the smoke rising from the scene could be an irritant for people with respiratory issues.
