SIBUR has driven the first test pile into the foundation of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Russia's Amur region. Amur GCC will process ethane and LPG, which will be supplied from Gazprom's Amur Gas processing plant and produce 2.3 million tons per year of polyethylene and 400,000 tons per year of polypropylene. SIBUR's technology partners are Linde and NIPIgaspererabotka (cracking units), Univation Technologies and Chevron Phillips (polyethylene units), LyondellBasell (polypropylene unit). NIPIgaspererabotka will be responsible for project management, procurement and construction of off-site facilities. The estimated investments total nearly $10 billion to $11 billion. The construction and commissioning works are planned to complete in 2024-25.
