Gulf of Mexico Offshore Operators Begin Damage Assessments in Wake of Hurricane Laura, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Companies began to assess offshore Oil & Gas Production platforms on Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico for possible damage from Hurricane Laura. Offshore, 1.6 million barrels per day of oil production and 1.6 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas production were offline. Some companies began returning crews to the rigs to initiate production restarts.
