Nestle's revenue growth in the first quarter of 2020 was the most significant in the last five years. This was facilitated by the fact that people around the world were purchasing its food products because of self-isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic. Mark Schneider, chief executive officer of Nestle, commented in the press conference: "Changes in consumer behavior are happening faster than ever, and we are adapting to this new reality, innovating more effectively and acting fast."
