Australia's Geelong Refinery Confirms Government Assistance, an Industrial Info Market Brief

In a move meant to avert a fate similar to the closure of British Petroleum's (BP) Kwinana Refinery in Western Australia, Viva Energy, the company that operates the Geelong Refinery, has confirmed the assistance of the Australian Federal Government to provide an interim refinery production payment for six months starting January 1, 2021, until a long-term design for the refinery production payment is implemented.
