Three Mexican States Feature More than 75% of Country's Pharma-Biotech Investments, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Of the 147 capital Pharmaceutical-Biotech Industry projects in Industrial Info's database worth $802.70 million in Mexico that are expected to be approved for expenditure in 2021, 75.8% of the investments are concentrated in only three states: Mexico State with an investment value of $419.9 million; Queretaro, accounting for $116.5 million; and Mexico City (formerly Distrito Federal) with $72.2 million. These three states represent a total value of $608.6 million, mainly in the final formulation sector, but also in the cosmetics, perfumes and toiletries sector and ingredients sector.
