Westlake Chemical Reports Record Third-Quarter Profit

SUGAR LAND--November 4, 2021--Westlake Chemical (NYSE:WLK) (Houston, Texas) turned a record profit of $607 million in the third quarter--more than a tenfold increase year-over-year--on record net sales of $3.1 billion, driven by higher prices and margins for most of its major products following a global economic recovery, the company reported Tuesday.
