Ryazan NPK CJSC, on March 1, was forced to shut down the 9,000-BBL/d Hydrotreater L-24/6 (Block 1) and 9,000-BBL/d Hydrotreater L-24/6 (Block 2) units after a fire occurred at its 397,000-BBL/d Ryazan Refinery in Russia. The impact and damages are being assessed.
Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) continues with a 25-day planned major turnaround of the 15,000-BBL/d Visbreaker Unit 1 at its 300,000-BBL/d Mangalore Refinery in India. The restart is expected by March 10.
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL)'s 66,000-BBL/d (design capacity: 56,000 BBL/d) Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 1 at its Manali Refinery in India continues to operate at 92%. The unit expects to resume full throughput by March 18.
