September 19, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Greater Houston region covers a lot of area and a lot of people. Encompassing nine counties, the region covers 10,000 square miles in nine counties and has a population of more than 7 million people, according to Wikipedia. Harris County alone, which contains the city of Houston, is the third-most populous county in the U.S.

Industrial info is tracking more than $4 billion worth of projects that are planned to kick off construction during the fourth quarter in the Greater Houston region. However, some projects may not kick off as planned, with construction starts slipping into 2023 or even later.
