China's Investment in Power Generation up 3.3% in First-Half 2019, an Industrial Info Market Brief

In the first half 2019, China's investment in the power generation sector reached $14.74 billion, an increase of 3.3% year over year. Of this, the investment in hydropower reached $4.47 billion, a jump of 36.4% year over year; that of thermal power reached $3.22 billion, a drop of 26%; that of nuclear power amounted to $2.10 billion, a drop of 30.2%; and that of wind power reached $4.32 billion, a jump of 54.8%, according to the Instant Statistic Report announced by the National Energy Administration (NEA) on June 19.
