U.S. Court Orders Feds to Assess Emissions of Louisiana LNG Project - A U.S. court on Tuesday ordered the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to reassess the impact of greenhouse gas and other emissions from Commonwealth LNG's Louisiana liquefied natural gas project. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia did not vacate FERC's 2022 approval of the project as it ordered the regulator to consider the impact of emissions. Commonwealth has not made a final investment decision on the project yet. Energy Transfer, Sunoco to Form Joint Venture of Permian Businesses - U.S. pipeline operator Energy Transfer LP (NYSE:ET) (Dallas, Texas) and fuel distributor Sunoco LP (NYSE:SUN) (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) on Tuesday said they would form a joint venture combining their crude oil and produced water-gathering assets in the Permian Basin. Sunoco is an affiliate of Energy Transfer, which billionaire Kelcy Warren controls. The joint venture will operate more than 5,000 miles of crude oil and water gathering pipelines with crude oil storage capacity exceeding 11 million barrels. Energy Transfer will hold a 67.5% interest in the joint venture, with Sunoco holding the remaining 32.5%. (Reuters)

ExxonMobil to Drill Up to 30 Wells in Seventh Guyana Oil Project - Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (Spring, Texas) plans to drill up to 30 wells as part of its seventh oil project in Guyana, named Hammerhead, according to the development plan proposed by the company and disclosed by the government on Monday. The project, which is pending government approval, would start production in 2029, lifting the country's capacity to more than 1.4 million barrels of oil per day.
