IEA Sees Surge in Global Demand for Coal

That's according to a new report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) (Paris, France), which said global coal use to generate electricity is on track to grow 9% this year over 2020, to a new all-time high of 10,350 terawatt-hours. Coal demand worldwide is expected to grow by 6% in 2021, says the IEA.
