Indian Government to Fund Development of Three COVID-19 Vaccines, an Industrial Info Market Brief

To promote development of indigenous vaccines for COVID-19, India's government has offered to provide financial assistance to three candidate vaccines being developed by the country's privately-owned vaccine manufacturing firms. The Department of Biotechnology, which has been designated as the central coordination agency for COVID-19 vaccine development, so far has short-listed Zydus Cadila Healthcare, Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute of India for funding their vaccine development and trial programs.
