Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Japan's biggest refiner, ENEOS Corporation (Tokyo), has restarted one of its refineries in the wake of an earthquake that struck March 16, but two others remain shut down.
Industrial Info is tracking and monitoring the refineries, which were shut down following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Miyagi Prefecture.
ENEOS' 247,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Kawasaki Refinery has since been restarted. However, the 145,000-BBL/d Sendai Refinery and the 129,000-BBL/d Chiba Refinery remain shut down, due to a power blackout.
