U.S. Drillers Add Rigs - U.S. energy firms last week added oil and natural gas rigs for a second week in a row for the first time since mid-September, energy services firm Baker Hughes Company (NASDAQ:BKR) (Houston, Texas) said. The oil and gas rig count rose two to 624 in the week ending October 20. U.S. oil rigs rose by one to 502 last week, while gas rigs also gained one to 118. (Reuters)

FERC Approves TC Energy's GTN Xpress Gas Pipeline Expansion Project - The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on Thursday granted permission for the GTN XPress Project, enabling TC Energy Corporation's (NYSE:TRP) (Calgary, Alberta) Gas Transmission Northwest LLC (GTN) to add an extra 150,000 dekatherms per day of firm natural gas transportation service to its mainline system. The order authorizes GTN to install, construct, modify and operate certain natural gas compression facilities at the existing No. 5 Athol, No. 7 Starbuck and No. 10 Kent Compressor Stations, located in Idaho, Washington and Oregon, respectively, the agency said.
