Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Industrial Info is pleased to be presenting a complimentary webinar on the outlook for the global Power Industry on Wednesday, June 24, at 10 a.m. CDT (11 a.m. EDT). Join Britt Burt, Industrial Info's vice president of research for the Power Industry, and Shaheen Chohan, vice president of Global Analytics, as they discuss the trends and drivers of the industry for the rest of this year and into 2021.
Industrial Info is tracking nearly $6 trillion in active power projects throughout the world.

While Industrial Info has seen relatively few power project cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic, the primary consequence has been a steep decrease in power demand. Industrial Info is tracking approximately $147.7 worth of power projects that have been affected by COVID-19, including $40 billion worth in the U.S. Companies are deferring non-essential maintenance until later dates, and while Industrial Info has seen some large natural gas-fired projects delayed because of the coronavirus, renewable energy projects, especially solar, represent the highest number of affected capital projects. This is due not only to regulations limiting the number of people on work sites, but also supply-chain blockages as countries that supply materials for the projects have experienced lockdowns. Industrial Info is tracking more than 50 U.S. solar power projects, valued at more than $4 billion, which have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here for a list of these projects.
The topics to be discussed in Wednesday's webinar will include:
