U.S. Rig Count Declines - Last week, U.S. energy firms cut the most oil rigs in a week since September 2021, energy services firm Baker Hughes Company (NASDAQ:BKR) (Houston, Texas) reported Friday. Oil rigs fell 10 to 613, their lowest since November, while gas rigs rose six to 156 in their biggest weekly rise since February. (Reutesrs)
LNG
Germany Receives Third Floating LNG Terminal - A floating terminal to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) arrived at the German port of Brunsbuettel on Friday, the third such vessel to start up in recent weeks as Germany rushes to diversify away from former top supplier Russia. In recent weeks, floating storage regasification units have arrived in Wilhemlshaven and Lubmin, taking Germany's LNG import capacity to 14 billion cubic meters, according to Economy Minister Robert Habeck. Saudi Arabia Remains Top Crude Oil Supplier to China in 2022 - Saudi Arabia remained China's largest crude oil supplier in 2022, shipping 87.49 million tonnes of crude oil to China. Russia was second, with 86.25 million tonnes shipped to China last year, up 8% from 2021. (Reuters)
