Adefa, an association that brings together vehicle manufacturers in Argentina, reported that in April no car or truck was produced in the country as a result of the shutdown of all factories since March 20 because of the coronavirus pandemic. Companies that have resumed operation include:
- FCA Argentina's Cordoba plant on May 20
- Toyota's Zarate plant on May 18
- Volkswagen Group Argentina's Pacheco plant on May 18
- Pirelli Neumaticos: The company officially decided to stop operations until the end of May due to COVID-19.
- PSA will restart its Buenos Aires plant in late May
