Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--CSI Tubular Products Incorporated, a subsidiary of California Steel Industries Incorporated (Fontana, California), recently started up a new electrical-resistance welded-pipe mill at the company's steel mill in Fontana, California.
The company's second pipe mill will increase production to more than 600,000 tons per year of API line pipe, with diameters ranging from 4.5 to 24 inches. The pipe will be used primarily for the transmission of oil and natural gas.
