Cardinal CG's new plant will perform glass tempering and finishing for window suppliers in the booming West Coast and Rocky Mountain region housing markets.

Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Cardinal CG, a division of Cardinal Glass Industries Incorporated (Eden Prairie, Minnesota), is nearing completion of renovations to an existing 118,000 square foot former manufacturing building in Casa Grande, Arizona (Plant 1062284). The company is performing a $10 million renovation of the existing ROHN Enclosures building located 1109 North Jefferson in Casa Grande, and is expected to employ about 70 workers at the site when it becomes operational early next year.
The Casa Grande area is experiencing record industrial growth, recently with several new industrial construction projects announced. For details see November 5, 2003 archived IIR Industry Alert: Casa Grande Arizona Booming with New and Expanding Plant Construction.
Cardinal CG's new plant will perform glass tempering and finishing for window suppliers in the booming West Coast and Rocky Mountain region housing markets. Cardinal CG currently supplies these regions from a glass tempering plant located in Moreno Valley, California (Plant 1034272). That plant was having difficulties meeting the new increases in demand and so the decision was made to add a new plant in Arizona.
This is one of five new manufacturing plants that Cardinal Glass is planning throughout North America, including new plants in Oklahoma, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington. When it is all said and done the company will add 1.5 million square feet of manufacturing space and 900 jobs. With the new plants Cardinal Glass will have 20 plants and more than 4,500 employees.
