Caribbean Kingston Refinery Continues at Lower Rates, an Industrial Info Market Brief
Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica continues processing at reduced rates.
Released Wednesday, May 20, 2020
Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica continues processing at reduced rates. Its 35,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Kingston Refinery is running at 60% due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Refinery authorities will continue evaluating that rate and may have to lower it to 50% if demand for products continues to drop. The company delayed the 21-day planned plant-wide turnaround at the facility from March to mid-June. However, the company continues to evaluate the most convenient date to carry on the works.
