China's Year-Over-Year Crude Oil Output Up 3% in October

November 29, 2021--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Crude oil production in China totaled 16.83 million metric tons in October, a 3% increase over the same month in 2020, or 4.5% more than output in October 2019, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.

For the year through October, crude oil output reached 166.19 million metric tons, an increase of 2.5% year over year, or 4.2% over the output the same 10-month period in 2019.

Also in October, China imported 37.8 million metric tons of crude oil, down 11.2% from October 2020. For the year through October, crude imports totaled 425 million metric tons, a 7.2% reduction from the same 10-month period in 2020.

Processed crude oil amounted to 58.4 million metric tons in October, down 3% year over year, and down 0.5% from October 2019. For the year through October, processed crude oil totaled 585.15 million metric tons, up 5.2% over the same 10-month period in 2020.
