Cousins Expands Life Science Investment at Georgia's North Point Research Park with Construction of Inhibitex Headquarters and Research Building

Early next year, Inhibitex Incorporated (Nasdaq: INHX) (Alpharetta, Georgia) will be moving into its new headquarters and research building. The biopharmaceutical company specializes in the discovery, development and commercialization of antibody-based products for the prevention and treatment of serious bacterial and fungal infections in the hospital setting.

Cousins Properties Incorporated (NYSE: CUZ) (Atlanta, Georgia) is developing the 51,000 square foot building at North Point Research Park, part of a 216-acre development on Westside Parkway in Alpharetta. Inhibitex currently has separate locations for its headquarters and research operations. The new site will bring both under one roof.

Construction of the Inhibitex building recently got underway and is expected to be complete in early 2005. The new facility is located adjacent to another life science building developed by Cousins, the 51,000 square foot AtheroGenics Incorporated (Nasdaq: AGIX) building. AtheroGenics, a pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases, moved to North Point in 1999.
