Centrica to Sell Canada Oil & Gas Assets
- Centrica plc (Windsor, England), Britain's largest utility company, is in the process of selling all of its Canadian oil and gas assets and exiting operations in the country, a company spokesman said on Monday. Centrica produces around 64,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in Canada, of which 90% is natural gas. (Reuters)

Israel's Leviathan Gas Partners Sign Deal to Supply Jordan - Partners in Israel's massive Leviathan natural gas field signed a $10 billion deal on Monday to supply 1.6 trillion feet of gas to Jordan's National Electric Power Company in a 15-year deal. (Bloomberg)

Oil Rises on OPEC Talks
- Oil rose as much as 4% on Monday as OPEC and other export leaders including Russia met in Algeria to discuss steps to tackle low crude oil prices and the current global glut. (Reuters)

PRODUCTION
Native American Treaty Poses New Challenge to Canada's Oil Sands
- Canadian Oil producers and pipeline operators have already been challenged this year by the slump in oil prices and wildfires, but a new obstacle emerged last week in the form of a treaty signed by Native American tribes in both Canada and the U.S. to fight proposed tar sands pipelines, tanker and rail projects. Mexico Could Open Shale Fields to Drillers Next Year - Mexico could open up its vast shale oil fields to U.S. drillers as soon as next year, the Mexican energy secretary said in a presentation on Friday, saying auctions for northern Mexico's shale fields could reopen after the first quarter of 2017. (Fuel Fix)
