Datang Chuzhou Power Plant’s Feasibility Study for Two 1,000 MW Units Passes Preliminary Examination

The examination meeting for the feasibility study report of two 1,000 MW units at Datang Chuzhou Power Plant was held by China International Engineering Consulting Company (Beijing) at Chuzhou city in Central China’s Anhui province on May 16-18, 2007, under the mandate of the Preparation Office of Datang Chuzhou Power Plant. An expert panel reviewed the feasibility study report prepared by China East Power Design Institute (Shanghai) and approved it.

During the examination meeting, the expert panel paid a visit to the project site, heard the introduction of the feasibility study report presented by China East Power Design Institute, and discussed and reviewed the report by dividing into twelve specialty teams.

Xiao Qibiao, deputy general manager of China Datang Corporation’s Anhui Branch (CDT Anhui), said that the construction of the two 1,000 MW supercritical thermal power units will satisfy the power demand resulting from the swift economic and social development in East China, realize the steady and healthly development of CDT Anhui, and promote and drive the economic development in Chuzhou.

Wang Tuqiang, deputy mayor of Chuzhou city said that full support will be provided during pre-stage work of the project.

Leaders and experts from 30 units, including Anhui Development and Reform Commission, Anhui Economic Commission, State Land Resources Department, Anhui Electric Power Company, the government and related departments of Chuzhou city, CDT Anhui, China East Power Design Institute, Anhui Power Design Institute, Datang Huainan Tianjia’an Power Plant, and the Preparation Office of Datang Chuzhou Power Plant attended the meeting.
