Diamondback's Realized Prices Down, Production Up in Fourth Quarter - U.S. driller Diamondback Energy said the average price it received for oil was $58 per barrel during the fourth quarter of 2025, compared with $69.48 per barrel a year earlier. Diamondback said it produced 969,120 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), compared with 883,424 boe/d a year earlier. Diamondback now expects current-year net production to be between 926,000 boe/d and 962,000 boe/d. It forecasts capital expenditure to be between $3.6 billion and $3.9 billion for the year. (Reuters)
Turkey Says Chevron-Greece Activity Off Crete is Illegal - Turkey said last week that it opposes Greece's "unilateral activities" in energy fields south of Crete with a consortium led by U.S. major Chevron as a violation of international law and good-neighbor relations. The Chevron-led consortium signed exclusive lease agreements last week to look for natural gas off southern Greece, expanding U.S. presence in the eastern Mediterranean. (Reuters)

U.S. Installed Record Amount of Battery Energy Storage in 2025 - The U.S. installed a record 57.6 gigawatt-hours of battery energy storage capacity in 2025, up 30% from the previous record set in 2024, the Solar Energy Industries Association said on Monday. (Renewables Now)
