Domco Tarkett Expands Vinyl Floor Manufacturing in Quebec

Domco Tarkett Incorporated (NYSE:DOC ) (Farnham, Quebec) is currently expanding its vinyl flooring manufacturing plant in Farnham, Quebec. Construction is underway on a 42,000 square foot (60'x700') building expansion, as well as the installation of a new production line to produce a new line of vinyl floor covering.

Site preparation started in November 2004. Overall completion is slated for early Summer 2005. The expansion is geared towards handling the production capacity of Fiberfloor, which has been solely manufactured in Europe. Due to increased sales and demand, the company decided to accelerate the product development, and planning, and expand capacity to North America.

Syscomax Incorporated located in Blainville, Quebec was awarded the general construction contract for the expansion.
