Dozens of New Expected Production Wells & Platforms Bode Well for Gulf of Mexico, an Industrial Info Market Brief

The recent resurgence of production in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) has increased crude oil production from a low of 1.1 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in July of 2013 to 1.8 million in March of 2019. Industrial Info is tracking new projects in the GOM that are expected to continue to drive the resurgence. According to Industrial Info's project database, the GOM has an outlook of 26 drilling programs totaling 75 new production wells that are anticipated to come online between now and 2023. Additionally, there are six new production platforms projects expected in the Gulf of Mexico.
