Equinor Raises Sverdrup Oilfield Output - Equinor (NYSE:EQNR) (Stavanger, Norway) has performed a capacity test at its Johan Sverdrup oilfield in the North Sea, showing it can produce up to 755,000 barrels of oil per day, the company said on Tuesday. "This equals 6-7% of daily European oil consumption," Equinor said in a statement, adding that it aims to keep output near that level. (Reuters)

TotalEnergies Prepares for Mozambique LNG Restart - TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) (Courbevoie, France) will make good on an action plan to address the rights of residents near its Mozambique liquefied natural gas (LNG) project over the summer, the oil major said on Tuesday, taking a step closer toward a restart. "At this time there is no date for a restart, although the project partners take note of the report and note the security improvements on the ground," a TotalEnergies spokesperson said. TotalEnergies holds a leading 26.5% stake in the development, which was halted in 2021 after Islamic State-linked insurgents attacked civilians in Mozambique's northern Cabo Delgado province where the liquefied natural gas project is located. Record Solar Power Generated in New York State - New York state's power grid met about 20% of its electricity demand with energy from the sun for one hour last week, marking the highest ever output from solar generation, the grid operator said on Tuesday. A record-setting 3,330 megawatts of solar power was produced during the noon hour on May 18, the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) said. (Reuters)
