The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved four liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects in Texas. NextDecade, Cheniere, Exelon, and Texas LNG were given the go-ahead to proceed with their projects. The combined processing capacity of the four Gulf Coast facilities will be north of six billion cubic feet of gas per day. The projects are still working on final investment decisions and tolling agreements, and are waiting for permission by the U.S. Department of Energy to export LNG to non-Free Trade Agreement countries.
