RES started The Glens of Foudland Windfarm's civil and electrical engineering and construction in June 2004. The company utilized twenty 1.3 MW wind turbine/generator sets to provide renewable energy that, when at full capacity, can provide energy for up to 26,000 homes. Utilization of wind generation, instead of fossil fuel, is expected to reduce about 60,000 tons of carbon dioxide greenhouse gases.
