General Contractor Awarded for $40 Million Fabric Plant Construction in North Carolina

Jacob Holm Industries (Germany), a manufacturer of nonwoven fabric, has selected CCC Group Incorporated (Columbia, South Carolina) to provide general contract services for a $40 million nonwoven fabric manufacturing plant in Enka, North Carolina. This will be the company's first North American manufacturing plant to be built in the United States.

The general contractor will self-perform piping and most equipment installation and will bid out electrical, as well as other jobs, as needed. Site preparation started in early August and completion is anticipated for the summer of 2005.
