German Company Expands Polyurethane Production In West Virginia
This will be the first manufacturing plant for Stockmeier in the United States and depending on market demand, future expansions are possible after the first year of operation

Stockmeier Urethane Corporation (Clarksburg, West Virginia), a subsidiary of Stockmeier Kumststoffe Gm Company (Bielefeld, Germany), plans to expand manufacturing operations into Clarksburg, West Virginia (PEC 24000923). Stockmeier purchased a 31,000 square foot building, built in 1995, to manufacture polyurethane products with several million dollars of new equipment and 4,000 square foot allotted for office space.
Thrasher Engineering (Clarksburg, West Virginia) has performed detailed engineering for this expansion and equipment installation should begin in September. The company plans to have the new plant (Plant 1061234) operational by the beginning of next year, eventually employing up to 25 people. This will be the first manufacturing plant for Stockmeier in the United States and depending on market demand, future expansions are possible after the first year of operation.
Stockmeier Kunststoffe, established in 1991, is headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany and is part of the holding company Stockmeier Holding GmbH. They produce polyurethane products including adhesives, coatings, bonding agents, elastomers and sealants with suppliers including Huntsman, Dow Chemical, BASF and Bayer. Some industries that benefit from Stockmeier's products are the electrical, building and automotive industries.
