Grassroot Liquid CO2 and Dry Ice Plant Planned to Startup this Week in Mississippi

Continental Carbonic Products, Incorporated (Decatur, Illinois), a privately owned company, is planning to start production this week of their new liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) and dry ice plant located in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Continental Carbonic began construction of this estimated $5 million plant late last year.
The new plant includes a 22,500 square foot production building and when operational will provide dry ice in solid blocks, pellets of various sizes including high density blasting pellets. The Brookhaven site will be Continental Carbonic's sixth production site and its first service location in Mississippi.
Solid and liquid carbon dioxide have been used by the food & beverage industry for both refrigeration and production for many, many years. Continental Carbonic also offers proprietary equipment that enables the use of dry ice as a blasting agent offering industry a practical and affordable alternative to traditional cleaning methods such as sand blasting and cleaning solvents.
