Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Privately held start-up company, IFP North America New York Incorporated (Rochester, New York) is finalizing design plans for a new apple juice processing and packaging plant to be located in an old building in Le-Roy New York.
IFP purchased the vacant 210,000 square foot Seneca Foods plant last year, and has been working with The Dennis Group (Springfield, Massachusetts) to design and construction manage the $40 million project that will produce not-from-concentrate fruit juices, fruit juice concentrates, and other fruit products.
The state-of-the-art plant will have the capacity to process some three million bushels per year of apples into juice for a variety of grocery store brand names. Five lines will be installed to produce fruit juice in tabletop cartons and hot filled and cold filled PET bottles.
Construction is scheduled to begin in June or July of 2003 and will be completed about twelve months later. Once operational, the new facility will also create about 300 new jobs for the Genesee County area.
IFP North America New York Incorporated is a start-up company headed by an 18-year veteran of juice processing Herb Fiss. The plant will process apples grown in western New York and market products through the Northeast.
The Dennis Group is a full service-consulting firm, providing services to the non-profit sectors in the areas of fundraising, operations, governance and specializes in food & beverage industry construction.
