Marathon shut down its 530,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Garyville, Louisiana, refinery, ahead of Hurricane Ida.

ExxonMobil's 500,000-BBL/d refinery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana remained online ahead of Hurricane Ida, although several units were shut down, including the 110,000-BBL/d PCLA 2 (Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit), one of the facility's three cokers and several secondary units. The remainder of the facility was reduced to minimum rates.

Citgo Petroleum's 420,000-BBL/d refinery in Lake Charles (Westlake), Louisiana, has returned to normal operations after production rates were reduced in anticipation of Hurricane Ida.

Phillips 66, today, August 30, has begun to increase production rates at its 242,000-BBL/d refinery in Lake Charles (Westlake), Louisiana, after being in hot-oil circulation due to Hurricane Ida.

Shell shut down all units at its 240,000-BBL/d refinery in Norco, Louisiana, ahead of Hurricane Ida.

Valero shut down its 230,000-BBL/d Saint Charles Refinery in Norco, Louisiana, and its 135,000-BBL/d refinery in Meraux, ahead of Hurricane Ida.

PBF Chalmette Refining LLC shut down its entire 192,000-BBL/d refinery in Chalmette, Louisiana, ahead of Hurricane Ida.

Placid Refining shut down its 80,000-BBL/d Port Allen, Louisiana, refinery in preparation for Hurricane Ida. Plant personnel are currently evaluating refinery operations and the status of equipment, and hope to restart the facility as early as tomorrow, August 31.
