India will jump to 20% ethanol blending in petrol from 10%, and the sugar mills are being persuaded to produce higher quantities of ethanol from excess sugar and sugarcane. This could create an alternate revenue for the sugar millers and farmers while providing more biofuels for the automobile sector as a green initiative.
