Indonesia is including the price of coal as a benchmark in determining its electricity tariffs. The three other main components are the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the rupiah, Indonesia's crude oil price and inflation. The government has asked state-owned utility PT PLN to keep electricity tariffs affordable.
