Invenergy Wind, LLC, a subsidiary of privately held Invenergy, LLC (Chicago, Illinois), is developing plans for a grassroot 120-megawatt (MW) wind farm in the Harper County, Oklahoma area just north of Woodward. The new wind farm will be named Centennial Windfarm. It should employ eight to twelve people and will consist of eighty 1.5 MW GE wind turbine/generator sets. Construction is planned for a second quarter (May/June) kick off and is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
Once the windfarm is complete, it will be owned and operated by local utility OG&E Electric Services, a subsidiary of OGE Energy Corporation (NYSE:OGE ) (Oklahoma City. Oklahoma).
